electronics 2017 INFINITI Q70 HEV - Windshield Wiper and Washer Controls

This lever is used to control all windshield wiper and washer functions. To operate your windshield wipers and washer, your ignition must be ON.

The first stop as you push the lever down is the rain-sensing auto wiper system, marked AUTO.

The rain-sensing auto wiper system can automatically turn on the wipers and adjust the wiper speed depending on rainfall and vehicle speed.

Turn THIS knob to adjust the sensitivity of the rain sensor.

To turn off the rain-sensing auto wiper system, push the lever up to the OFF position, or pull the lever down to the LO or HI position.

Be aware even if it starts to rain, the wipers may not begin to function if rain is not directly hitting the rain sensor.

The wipers will operate on continuous low-speed by pushing the lever down to LO – the second stop.

Push down again to HI, the third stop, for continuous high-speed operation.

In conditions of mist or light rain, push the lever up to MIST and you will get a one-sweep operation of the wipers.

To clean the windshield, pull the lever toward you. Washer fluid will spray and the wipers will automatically sweep several times and stop.

To replace the wiper blades or clean the lower windshield, the windshield wipers must be in the service position. With the ignition in the ON position, push the windshield wiper and washer lever up to the mist position two times in succession. The wiper operation stops in mid-operation. The wiper arm can then be pulled away from the windshield for replacement or cleaning.

To move the wiper blades back to the original position, push the windshield wiper and washer lever up for more than 1 second or push the lever down to operate at any wiper speed.
